Typical of the best Indonesian coffees, Flores Bajawa offers a rare combination of low acidity with rich body that is very, very smooth. Coffee from this region has a distinctly different taste and stands as a unique fit, somewhere between Timor and Sumatra, just like the island itself. This particular batch has beautiful complimentary notes of cocoa powder and marshmallow with a soft floral finish.

About the growers:
Indonesia is a well-known coffee producer and Flores Bajawa is a favorite among coffee lovers. Bajawa plateau is located on the slopes of the Inerie Volcano, known for its shade tree cover and fertile soil. Ashes from the volcanoes have created Andosols, ideal coffee production. This coffee is sourced from small family owned farms who have come together to improve upon farm level processing using wet-hulling techniques (called “Ngura” in the Bajawan language) similar to those found in Sumatra.
